Spread the Mosaic Love On Your Birthday
Dear Mosaic Community,
Thank you for helping us make The Mosaic Project Facebook Cause the place to be! We now have close to 1,000 members and have received over $1,000 in donations through Facebook- a wonderful start for our new e-community. Your online advocacy is especially appreciated as we watch school, foundations, and individual donors scale back on their contributions to The Mosaic Project. It’s your e-dedication and e-hustle that can help children experience a little peace on earth.
Some of the Facebook donations were unsolicited outpourings of support, but many came in because several people made wishes for their birthdays: they wished that their friends would donate to Mosaic instead of sending presents or posting on their Facebook pages. July and August are the popular months for birthdays. If you have a birthday coming up, happy birthday! Please consider adding a philanthropic flair to your celebration by setting up a Facebook Birthday Wish.
Just to make our birthday fundraising drive a little more fun, we’re adding in a little friendly competition. We will give a SIGG water bottle sporting the Mosaic logo to the person who raises the most money through Facebook by August 31st.
If you don't have a summer birthday, don't despair! You can still participate by setting up a Fundraising Pledge and letting your friends know about it. You can even tell friends who aren't members of Facebook and if they donate through the link you send them, you still get credit.
I, Lara, already have a Mosaic water bottle, so we won't count what I raised on my birthday; however, our Development Director, Rachel, has an August birthday, so you might have some stiff competition. Good luck!
