Hello Fabulous Mosaic Family,
Welcome to our new mailing list! We are very excited about improving the ways we use technology. In addition to creating the new mailing list, we have been updating the content on our website. We created a page to help people get more involved in Mosaic that includes information about job openings and a wish list. We also put up a bunch more photos and two videos.
Videos
The videos are now also available on YouTube and Google Video. We encourage you to watch them, put them on your blog, send them to your friends, or use them to create a badge to raise money for Mosaic. And let's not forget a big thanks to Steve Goldberg of Random Order Productions who graciously donated the production of the videos.
Alumni
We've also put together an Alumni Corner page, creating an opportunity to reconnect with former students of the Outdoor School. The students from the first year of the program are now in high school and old enough to join our Youth Leadership Project and be cabin leaders. Also, we have created a survey to help us assess the effects of our program. So for any alumni reading this, fill out the survey for a chance to win a free Mosaic T-shirt!
A New Look
These changes are just a preview of the website redesign that the generous folks at Slub Design are planning to donate to us in the next few months. So keep an eye on the website.Rocking Out
Our very own Resident Rockstar, Brett Dennen, who created our musical curriculum, is on tour. His career is taking off! He will be playing at The Independent Theater in San Francisco on March 30 and 31. Mosaic’s own Theresa Perez will be opening for him on March 30 and The Attik, featuring our very own Amani Carey-Simms and Davin Thompson (DAT), will be opening for him on March 31. Both shows are fundraisers for The Mosaic Project! Mosaic staff will be there and have the opportunity to come on stage and speak about our work. We would love to have you join us. Be sure to get your tickets early–they will sell out!

March 3rd Success!
Thanks to everyone who helped make our annual brunch a huge success! Nearly 500 people attended and we surpassed our fundraising goal for the event of $50,000! And this, of course, does not measure the inspiration with which our guests left the room. We received plenty of praise, including:

I was inspired the whole weekend and I still feel inspired!"

Did you know you can help companies give money to Mosaic when you shop, with no cost to you? It takes only a minute to sign up, and then you will help Mosaic effortlessly forever! All you need to do is go to Escrip.com and sign up your credit/debit cards and "shopper" or "club" cards. Then every time you shop at any of the hundreds of participating stores (see a list), 1-4% the value of your purchases is donated by that merchant to Mosaic. If you are already signed up with eScrip for another school or nonprofit, you can add Mosaic and the donations will be split evenly. If you are new, all you need to do is go to Escrip.com and click on "sign up". Search for The Mosaic Project or our group ID number 500003638, then add your cards. It is secure and private. Then feel proud that each time you shop at a registered merchant you are encouraging stores to support Mosaic!
